In the year 1999, I became drawn to the works of those painting with watercolours. I decided that this media might be the right one for me. Over the last 30 years I have taken courses in drawing, pastel (chalk), ink, and the acrylic media. After much research and reading in the area of my interest, I took classes and experimented with the paints.
I loved what was happening. The colours of the paints and ease of the painting was exciting for me. What I paint tends to be of things or places that move me. Much of my work is nature. It consists of places that I have travelled to; of the many views, plants and people that I have seen. My use of colour is intense. Each painting is a part of me.
Taught art to children.
Directed work on scenery for school plays.
